Beautiful heart
Today, I went to the gathering organised by David, for those classmates going in NS. Many didn't turned up, and that's a pity. But that's not the main thing which left in my heart.
I've prepared a gift for Jonathon, and I held it for a long time, because I don't know, I just have a feeling he will reject it or throw away. But since this is a last chance, aiyah, just give lah. It's a Book. A good book, which I hope, that it can help him, in the future.
We will met many obstacles and problems, and I hope it can offer a direction for him on my behalf, if we had lost contact or I'm no longer by their sides. I Though he is not coming, cos he came so late ! LOL... hey, and the funny thing is, I came on time this time, and the others were late haha.
He still turned up in the end. I didn't waste my trip. At the car, I just say "Hey, I'm giving you this, I'll just left it in your car". Then he kept asking "what is it~!" "For what?" . Aiyah, expected. but, why giving thing must got motive leh. and he didn't say thank you... i was thinking at that moment... lol... but in the end he did, when we left.
Hmm... I just see this beautiful heart in me, which manifested itself into many different kinds of speech and actions, negative to others or positive to others. But how long can it last? People change... in the past is good, but now become bad. Will this beautiful heart change? Sometimes, the greed comes. Sometimes, aversion comes. Sometimes deluded. But sometimes, So beautiful.
I've just investigated, most of the time, I rejoice with the gains of others, thus I am reaching appreciative joy? but when will I reach equanimity? Where the heart is unmoved, isn't that what I aspire? An unchanged heart of true love unconditioned.
Maybe I am fine now. I don't have much problems now. thus I can be happy within and thus wishing other to be happy. But if I am in a negative state of life? can I? But I wish, that this beautiful heart within me is lasting and unmovable.

Just Follow Law is Excellent!
I just watch the movie by Jack neo, "Just Follow Law".
I think it is very good. It shows the problems in many managements. They like to push around or they are just scared to handle responsibilities or Simply lazy to do anything with much effort.
The movie speaks my heart, and thats what I wanted.
Jack Neo is very smart, the movie speaks what our Government wants. Be flexible but at the right time. People in singapore just sticks to the rules dumbly without pondering on its purpose or lack of the ability to judge. Just like the Fire engine part in the movie. The indian guard Clamp the Fire engine, scolding the Fire man for parking it there! Because it parks on the "VIP" slot in the Carpark, and the Superior of the indian guard told him to keep out all vehicles on the 2 VIP carpark slots. Humorous, but meaningful.
I think those who say it's not nice, didn't watch it with heart. Everything, if we don't put our hearts in, we will never understand in depth or be concern about the matter. I emphasis on putting the heart into everything you do. I think thats the part where the people described in the movie had not do.
Fann wong and gurmit singh's part show alot about these 2 kind of people. Hardworking and capable people, and lazy but want to earn a living people.
The first cateogry people, often's neglects the human part of things and flexibility. and also a side of singaporeans in filial piety. Many thought, giving their parents money is being filial, but they neglects their feelings as these people are often busy at work. But compared to "I not stupid too", the emotional part for these filial thing not as much touching.
The 2nd kind of people, I see ALOT in the current group of youngsters in Singapore. These people just want to live simply and comfortably without working hard. Just want to work the easy way of things out. But this group of people are more humane, compared to the first.
These people seldom reflects, if they do, they should be shameful about their attitude towards things. Just thinking of how to push things which they dislike. Their "Wants" and the "Should's" is not co-operating. They want alot but they didn't do what they should.
The first kind of people is "Should's" too much, imbalance. They often just do what was told or follow the way people are going. Rules and unwritten rules.
If these 2 grp of people can balance up, singapore is a much better place. Use brain, work hard, and have empathy. I recommend this movie to all my club committee people to watch as it futhur explains what I am saying all the while.

Meeting the Dhamma needs merit
I've learn much through hearing, and reading the Dhamma. But I find in strange, why we listening and reading the same things, yet the could not understand and be benefited? The most mystical thing was, when the venerable was taking about something so related to them, so beneficial to their problem, they are either away, absent or sleeping, that the conditions do not allow them to hear. Is that Kamma?
So in the end, I always learn things which they don't. When I talk, they would think that I am looking too highly about myself, and refuse to listen. Thats the bad part why I don't really enjoy conveying messages. This people simply don't listen. Even they listen, they don't comprehend, so they also don't know what is it about, only sound enter their ears, but not the meanings.
They like to compare, or downgrade, but never look at themselves, what are they lacking in them comparing to others. Some will find faults, just to prove you wrong. Some would simply ignore rather than to think about it.
Fools can only be wise when they realise their foolishness and desires to be wise...
It seems like people are digging their own graves, or creating barriers for themselves. And even they know it, they will say without regrets and wisdom: "I need to go through hardships to realise my foolishness, thus it is alright if I cannot change now." Saddly, most of these people don't have the merit to stand up from obstacles, and some was stuck or dragged into the wrong way, which deludes themselves, lying to themselves without shame.
If not, some are obstructed by conditions, their family and etc. It is very rare to meet the Buddha and his teaching. Even if we are born in a Buddhist country, a truly wise teacher is hard to come across, and his time is always in great demand. One who has done many meritorious deeds is born in a devout Buddhist family and gets many opportunities to learn and practice the Dhamma.
Or some are shortsighted. They thought, they should just enjoy since life is short. Or they thought they can do it, when simple things is almost unobtainable within their current means.
So, they did not think, "when you are dying, will you grief that you are leaving all your 'happiness'? " Are you sure where you will go?
There is a friend i known off, who claims that he would choose to enjoy "suffering" since it is inevitable. He said it with full of confidence and pride, he does not allow anyone to shoot that idea down. And now, he often cry bitterly, just because his friend refuse to befriend him, and it the thing keep disturbing him and his emotions. and he develops new theories and ideology, and grapping them with stuborness. There are many people like that, practising "self delusion"
Deluding themselves with whatever, thinking that it will "how and how", treating them real, and thought they are wise. This people seriously lack the ability to investigate and comprehend simple things such as their own thinking proccess with the works of everything, the truth and its phenomena.
And, thanks to them, looking at them, look at my past and now, I felt so relieved.
(Unless you had this relieve due to understanding of the truths, Don't say 'yeah', if not you are cheating yourself. Reading and you got a 'light bulb' is also excercising self delusion.)

Start a new
Yesterday, was the day i officially stepped down as a Council of my club.
Now it is the time, for me to serve my own duties as a student, as a son.
I do not wish to let down my poor friends, who keep encouraging me to "Pia" for my work, be punctual... until they so Sianz! I have confidence that they will be even happier if we can graduate together... = ) Thanks, I love you all.
But, though whatever if fixed, I learned much, experienced much, which is priceless, and of much benefit to myself and others.
I am thankful again, to myself, that I had done merits in the past, and I have the opporunity to learn the way, the Dhamma to solve problems of life, and inner conflicts, to peace and tranquility. And I had the merit to meet the right teacher, great teachers, great friends to support me in any form, anyway possible, a great family, a great father who pave my way to practise smoothly. Thankful that I had done merits and practises which enables me today, to had abilities to make myself successful, had the wisdom to learn and understand quickly through my own efforts, in the right sense, not in the deluded sense, verified.
But, very saddly, the next batch, many are in poor familiy conditions. In fact, to some extend, they can't afford to spare much time for others. Some had problems with attitude and thinking.
But I trust, they will work hard, within their abilities. Hate or love me, please on my sake, have compassion and do you job well ok.
By their sincerity, effort and merit for serving others, May their life be smooth, may their problems be resolved and may they live in a comfortable life and environment, with wealth and power.
