Helplessness towards ignorance
Some of my friends, who have practiced in the training of the Buddha, often told me that they've no choice but to keep quiet when their friends, or colleges share voice out their problems and unhappiness to them.
But in their heart, they know, these people are pitiful people which find problems for themselves, not knowing how to deal with negative conditions, but to work within delusion: Taking what is not, as what it is. Taking pain as happiness. The distorted view of what arises within them.
Their concern is worthy to be though through.
1st, can they understand what was told.
2nd, do they misinterpret what was told.
3rd, do they actually see what is truly happening, or still stuck in the distorted view.
3 relationship problem arisen among my friends in 2 months time, all have come to me. Looking at their problem, listening to their sorrow, it's all the same problem, the same cause.
But the problem with truth was, it is not pleasant to hear, because it attacks the defiled side of a person. It's the ego and conceit playing tricks. 2 choose to listen and act religiously as far as possible, the other choose to work on what she believed.
Out of the 3, 2 broke up, one reconciled. Both broken relationship was because their loved ones initiated the break. 1 deal with it properly, the other choose to go mad along with the emotions.
By believing to delusion, she went under control of her negative feelings. She has no understanding to Dhamma. I can see that, I'm helpless after saying much, because people who didn't develop their own hearts, can't see.
What does people mean by "I love you" when you are angry, upset over his/her absence. Can you love the person even he/she choose to leave you? They said yes, but they can't do it. These people choose to put their attention at their own losses. "He cheated me", “She didn't appreciate my efforts”.
That sounded like some business exchange than love.
怀抱在心里的感觉就是情。爱呢?People today have 情, but they didn't have 爱。They mistook feelings as love, love as feelings. Although they do come hand in hand, but they exist as a separate entity. Normally people say 我对你有情, they mean love. A loving feeling, a connection. But what happens when that receiving party appears to be ungrateful and unloving? The feeling is gone. No more love. Is that love??
When one choose to follow their negative emotions and thought, especially in relationship problem, because they feel , they should react in this way, or they might achieve happiness/ fulfill their wishes by this way.
When you truly love, you truly give. When it is true love, it has no identity, no difference. Because love is simply a wish "May you be well and happy", "Safe and secure".
They say, "yes yes, I can give, even everything to him/her" But then, why do they complaint and feel cheated when he/she choose to leave? That's a ironic claim as compared to what they can promise. They complaint others for breaking the love pledge, but these people also broke their promise too, isn't it?
"He broke the promise, that's why I can break my promise to him too" But when you know it's wrong to do that, why do you do to others? So people choose to react wrongly, not recognising it is wrong...
I can list more, but it's a sense of helplessness, when you can't enable someone to see clearly, but to let them carry on being fooled by themselves.
People who are not prepared, the wise closes their door to their world of clarity. That is something tragic to me. I always advise people, don't make the wise shut their doors, because I feel so fortunate, that I can walk out of the deep abyss of ignorance.
But what about the rest who were left behind? Thinking of that, I see myself as a torch. I must be free totally, before I can become a reliable torch which it's wisdom never extinguish by deluded wind. The wise always awaits the ones behind by achieving the highest first, because they can. If I can't last until the day they are ready, then I can't really help them.
They have made me see the importance of personal development. Just as the Buddha had said, "The man which understands Dhamma is the torch of that community."
Having crossed, I shall make others cross. Once again, I gain strength to move on even more diligently, till the state where I see, the cause of unshakable faith within.

Moving on
What will happen 2 years later?
Will I carry on the path that I've chosen to take again?
I'm not sure, because I'm unsure of the future conditions. But I'm sure, I'll still move on, and my life carry on it's story, full of changes and unexpected surprises.
Ajhan told me before I left the community, "I should see more Dukkha in the society, it isn't a bad thing."
Quite true. 1 day after I left, I entered a new stage in life, National Service. Being in PES E, I got to mix with many people with illness or defects on their health which didn't allow them to train strenuously during BMT.
I'm still quite unsure why I'm in PES E... As I feel I'm one of the more healthy ones.
Some of them have to excuse from running/sweating/sunlight/dust/carry heavy objects; I can do all the above!
But being with them, I see Dukkha. Some of them really leaves an impact in me and I felt lucky and fortunate.
Other than physical Dukkha, at this begining stage of NS, I see mental Dukkha as well. How people when lack of wisdom, acted foolishly when faced with the negativities in life, or they didn't act wisely in respect with life.
I see my inner Dukkha too. But it made me see a even bigger thing, which is the greatness of the Sangha. I see my ability to put them to rest quite effectively, I saw a expanded virtues within. Most importantly, I'm more sure about the path of training and development.
I've really learnt something which is extremely helpful to me from Ajhan. It's just like a super weapon that I can use to face with difficulties. But knowing my own heart, I'm in fear, fear of getting strayed without the shelther of my teacher.
Leaving me alone with the winds in the world, being free, without binds by strict guiding principles, without being supervised, I'm not really confident in keeping this mind firmly.
But I believe, what ever role I'm in, I should fulfill it's duties with appropriateness.
So I carry on expanding my knowledge, interest and ambitions.
Recently, I got caught up the the comic "棋灵王" or “棋魂” which is left by my Upperstudy in office. I use to be interested in "围棋" / "GO" in the past. But after sometime, I can really find some one who can play with me. So I stop playing. But this comic has lead me back into 围棋 and even to it's anime.
Not only I learnt alot more about 围棋, I learnt many teachings and valuble knowledges too. It has brought me deeper, understanding myself even more.
I may thought that whatever possible wish I hope to achieve, I can.
若我的悟性可以成就所愿,那我愿以它来成就苦灭之道。
Comparing to common people I've met, I haven't met someone who match my understanding completely. Some people see me as ignorant too! Haha...
Most people are unable to see the depth of things correctly. But I must watch after myself, with the depth I see things. Fearing that I'm push myself towards somewhere, that I become conceited and over estimating myself. But it always things that comfirms my understanding, which is people who finally understood what I saw previously and looking at their astonished look, saying, "I finally understand what you are talkign about."
People with depth, I see, are writers and leaders. I do pity these people because, not many can understand their meanings and visions. But from what they do, what the write, I saw something really deep, really beneficial for myself. Maybe, they don't see it themselves either, but it's more important that I see it, that I can make my way into another level.
But I wonder if there is anyone I'll soon meet, that can understand the happiness from knowing much, from not being restricted by limited knowledge. = )
In my part, I'll still move on with my visions, that are left unseen by most. I've my delusions too, but I hope it get lesser as I mover on.
Things are not all about the external expressions totally, but the internal expression and purpose first.
